My journey began 17 years ago with a dream of my own – owning a château in the beautiful Loire Valley. Alongside my family, Paul, Tom, and Katie, I embraced the challenge of bringing a historic property back to life. We poured our hearts into every stone, every room, and every detail, sharing our story with the world on Escape to the Chateau DIY and Chateau DIY on Channel 4.

From afar, we managed the restoration, created a holiday let, and reinvested into this grand old home, not to make a profit, but to breathe new life into its walls and create memories that would last a lifetime. In 2021, after 17 wonderful years, we sold our beloved château, a decision shaped by the times and the impact of COVID. But the joy, the memories, and the experience will remain with us forever.
